Prior to entering private practice, William worked in the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship (now the Department of Home Affairs) for 18 years. During that period, he worked in number of different roles including as a Decision Maker, a Team Leader, Policy Officer, and a Manager, assessing range of visa applications, particularly in the Employer Sponsored Program space. With 18 years’ experience working for the Department of Home Affairs, William’s insights in visa programs, especially Employer Sponsored, General Skilled and Partner visas are unmatched. Thus, with his stock of knowledge of Australia immigration laws, policies and procedures, William has the capacity to handle all kinds of visa applications, make representations to visa cancellations, business monitoring and sponsorship sanctions, merits review, judicial review and ministerial intervention requests.
Besides William’s knowledge of operations of the Department of Home Affairs and detailed legislative knowledge, he is an experienced migrant himself; this helps him put himself in clients’ shoes, advising, representing, and advocating for his clients on their migration journey.
